Throttle Position Sensors

Mounted on the butterfly spindle shaft the sensor directly monitors the throttle position. The most recent sensors are non contact hall effect or inductive sensors.

The magnet or inductive loop is the dynamic element connected to the butterfly spindle whilst the sensor and signal circuitry is mounted on the TPS body. As the spindle rotates from the stop position to the wide open position the sensor picks up the change in the magnetic field and the voltage generated is used as a signal voltage to the ECU, which in turn calculates the throttle position.

The Autotec range of fully engineered Throttle Position Sensors gives customers an affordable solution to their requirements.
