Speed Sensors

The modern motor car is fitted with a fully electronic instrument cluster. This includes the Speedometer (this records the vehicles speed) and the Odometer (which records the vehicles mileage).

Information for these two instruments is provided by a speed sensor, normally located in the vehicles gearbox. The rotational speed of the gearbox output shaft is measured and used to calculate the vehicle speed and mileage covered.

The Autotec range of speed sensors continues to grow as new references are added in line with market demand.
