Radiator Fan Switches

To enhance the efficiency of the cooling system, vehicle manufacturers came away from engine mounted fan assemblies and moved towards electric fan assemblies mounted directly to the radiator.

On earlier variants of this type of cooling system design the electric cooling fan is activated by the radiator fan switch. In most cases this switch is mounted in the radiator and completes the circuit switching on the fan at a predetermined temperature. This switch also breaks the circuit once the temperature drops below a preset temperature so as to not over cool the system.

The Autotec range of radiator fan switches offers customers a high quality cost effective spread of part numbers to cover most application requests.
