Checking the engine oil level is a task that many drivers put off or plain did not do with potentially expensive consequences.

Most recently, oil level sensors have started to appear on vehicles, replacing the traditional dipstick. These sensors are part of a system that allows the driver to check the engine oil level from the comfort of the drivers seat.
